Construction

Construction Surveys are completed to obtain required municipal permit approvals, to base your planning on accurate information, and to build in the correct position. Accelerated Surveys has the knowledge, expertise and experience to ensure your project goes smoothly and is a success. We will make YOUR project our Priority. Some of the many Construction Surveys we provide include the following:

Building Plot Plans and Staking

A Building Plot Plan is usually required for obtaining municipal permits. It illustrates the dimensions of the building and where you propose to build on the property. Building Staking is done to clearly mark the building’s exact position on the ground to help construct it precisely, ensure there are no encroachments onto any adjacent properties or Right of Ways, and meet Land Use Bylaws and Building Fire Codes.

Site Surveys

A Site Survey is a document used by Engineers and Architects as a starting point for designing a site and/or building. It contains a drawing that indicates vital information about the size and shape of the site, the existing site conditions, and nearby utilities.

Utility Staking

Utility Staking clearly marks on the ground the exact position of new utility lines and structures. This is helpful in order to install utilities in the correct position, stay within their Right of Way, and work properly.

Elevation Plans

An Elevation Plan or Drainage Plan displays the existing elevations of the site, the existing improvements, and the proposed changes to the elevations in order to drain the site properly. These may be required for receiving municipal permits to build in an older area, or if you are trying to solve a challenging drainage issue.
